Torino pushing to complete deal for Eldor Shomurodov

Andy Mattioli

Torino are set to complete a deal for Roma attacker Eldor Shomurodov.

After a difficult first term in the Italian capital last season, the Uzbekistan international hasn’t fared much better this season, primarily featuring from the bench.

Since joining the Giallorossi in the summer of 2021 from Genoa, Shomurodov has collected only 6 goals and 6 assists in 48 total appearances.

After falling behind in Mourinho’s pecking order, the ex-Genoa man’s entourage began scouting new potential destinations.

As a result, Torino came forward as the favorites to land Shomurodov. The Granata are reportedly intent on securing a deal in the coming days, reports Tuttomercatoweb.

Cremonese and Hellas Verona are also in the race but remain behind Torino.
