Torino sporting director Vagnati: “Sirigu will 100% stay with us”.

After the poor performances of Pau Lopez to end the season, Roma have been heavily linked with a potential change of goalkeeper this summer.

The Spaniard performed well in his first few months at the club but suffered a tremendous drop in form in the winter and following the COVID-19 pandemic stoppage.

One of the names who has been tipped to replace Lopez has been Torino’s Salvatore Sirigu. However, the Granata’s sporting director, Davide Vagnati, denied that the former PSG shot stopper will be departing the club this summer while speaking at a press conference.

”Sirigu will 100% stay with us,” said Vagnati.

”He has a long term contract with us and is a fixture in the dressing room. He was never put on the transfer market”.

He concluded, “I’d be crazy to say he was put up for sale. Sirigu is one of our leaders”.
