Torino’s owner Urbano Cairo on Belotti: “We’ve made him a very important renewal offer.”

One of the most rumored names for Roma’s summer transfer window is Torino’s leading striker, Andrea Belotti.

The Italian international’s contract with Torino expires next year and Urbano Cairo, Granata’s owner, does not intend on letting him go for cheap.

Earlier today Cairo spoke to Sky Sport and emphasized the club’s willingness to renew Belotti’s contract.

“Belotti is still on vacation. We’ll leave him be for now. We’ve made him a very, very important offer for a renewal. For a club like Torino the offer is quite substantial.”

About the interest in Belotti from other teams, including Roma.

“When he’s back here we’ll meet him with Vagnati (Torino’s sporting director). We know there is a lot of interest in him. We have a month to settle this matter or try and move on to other things.”

Roma so far are the only club who have formulated a concrete offer for the 27-year-old striker – €18 million including bonuses. Torino reportedly want at least €30 million.
