Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira has been one of the several names linked with a potential switch to Roma this summer, however, the ex-Sampdoria player is, reportedly, closing in on a move to Fiorentina.
La Nazione reports that barring any last minute surprises or a change of heart, the Uruguayan will likely join La Viola from the English side.
Fiorentina sporting director Daniele Pradè will try to close the deal with Arsenal within the next week and hand Beppe Iachini a new reinforcement.
The Gunners, however, are waiting for possible contact from Roma, who have previously expressed interest in the midfielder. Should this not happen, then Torreira will almost certainly join Fiorentina.
