Roma captain Francesco Totti took to his official Facebook page and released a statement ahead of Sunday’s match:
“Roma vs. Genoa, Sunday, 28 May 2017, is the last time when I can wear the shirt of Roma. It is impossible to express in a few words everything which those colors have represented, represent and will represent for me, forever. I only feel that my love for football has not passed: it’s a passion, my passion. It is so deep that I can not think about stopping feeding it. Ever. From Monday, I’m ready to restart and I’m ready for a new challenge.”
