Transfer talks between Roma-Parma for Fazio ongoing

Federico Fazio’s time in the Italian capital could be coming to a close as transfer talks between Roma and Parma are heating up.

Tuttomercatoweb reports that Roberto D’Aversa’s side are pressing to acquire the Argentine from Roma on a permanent deal before the transfer window closes next week.

Roma executive Tiago Pinto is eager to remove the ex-Sevilla man’s wages from the club’s books and is doing all he can to try and convince him to accept a deal to the Emilian side.

Fazio remains their top priority after a move for Medhi Benatia fell through and they’re hard at work with his representatives to try and understand what it will take to get the operation over the finish line.

The 33 year-old has appeared in only five matches for Roma this season and isn’t in the plans of manager Paulo Fonseca.
