Roma are seeking additional defensive reinforcements ahead of the January window.
The capital club want to further strengthen Jose Mourinho’s squad – among the options to temporarily replace Evan Ndicka during AFCON is Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah.
Along with Spurs centreback Eric Dier, Chalobah is another strong candidate to join the Giallorossi in January given his recent falling out with Chelsea.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Chalobah remains on Roma’s radar despite interest from other European clubs such as Inter, Juventus and Bayern Munich.
In the meantime, Jerome Boateng was offered to Roma by his entourage, but the capital club were quick to reject him.
