Udinese manager Gabriele Cioffi admitted to being a Roma supporter following Sunday’s defeat to Lazio.

In his post-match presser, Cioffi did not shy away from pointing out that he’d be in favor of Roma qualifying for the Champions League ahead of Lazio.

“I support Roma… obviously, all kidding aside: Lazio are a very smart team, I didn’t see the schemes that Lazio are used to playing today and it’s thanks to us, because we prevented them from doing so,” said the Italian technician at full-time.

“Then with two shots they win, and that’s life. They have players of great quality. Are they in the Champions League race? I don’t see why not.”
