Udinese boss Gabriele Cioffi satisfied with team’s mentality vs Roma

After a tough battle at the Dacia Arena, both teams leave the stadium with a point each. Roma’s last minute penalty scrapped Udinese’s much wanted win.

Their coach, Gabriele Cioffi, was interviewed by DAZN following the final whistle.

“We showed winning mentality tonight. This is the correct attitude that will change our performances and bring home points.”

“Our solution for Roma tonight was to keep pressing Zaniolo and Abraham, not let them breathe for one second. We knew that by being aggressive we would put them in a tough spot,” he said.

Finally, he joked about his admiration for Mourinho, “Had we won, I would have said, ‘We’re both Special Ones!'”

“After the game he told me, ‘So what do you say? Was it a penalty?’ I told him I don’t know, I’ll have to review it later on.”
