Udinese boss Luca Gotti encouraged his side to pick themselves up following yesterday’s loss to Napoli as they wait to face Roma on Thursday.
The Friulian side were dismantled 4-0 by Luciano Spalletti’s men yesterday at the Stadio Friuli—their first loss of the season. Things won’t get any easier for his team as they travel to the Italian capital in two days to face the Giallorossi, who are also coming off their first defeat of the season.
“We were naive against Napoli, but they played great,” he said to Udinese TV.
“Now there’s Roma—and then three days later we face Fiorentina. We knew this was going to be a stretch of really tough matches, but we have to find the strength to keep hold of all the areas where we’ve improved and to keep our heads held high.”
“So we’re going to Rome to play this match to the fullest of our abilities.”
The two teams square off at 20.45 local time in the Italian capital at the Stadio Olimpico.
