Udinese manager Luca Gotti refused to criticise his side after their 1-0 loss to Roma this evening in the Italian capital.

The Zebrette were sunk by a first half goal from Tammy Abraham, though, they had plenty of chances to draw level, especially in the second half.

Despite his side’s second consecutive loss, Gotti preferred to look at the positives.

“I’m not pleased about leaving here with no points, especially after the way we played,” he explained to DAZN.

“Look at the goal that we conceded, we just need to be able to read certain moments of the match better, that’s all.”

“This team is young, Udinese have invested in the future. But the path we need to get on immediately is to make the present this future.”

He added, “A match like tonight’s is part of the maturation process. There’s many young players here with a lot of potential. There’s going to be times when things work out for us while other times they don’t.”
