Udinese defender Adam Masina out against Roma after knee injury

Udinese were dealt a blow this afternoon after first choice defender Adam Masina underwent scans on his injured knee.

The 28 year-old was stretchered off just before half-time during yesterday’s league clash against Fiorentina, which Udinese won 1-0. Today’s follow-up examinations and tests revealed a potentially serious injury in his right knee.

The club announced Masina is scheduled for additional consultations and testing on Monday at Villa Stuart hospital in Rome with Prof. Pier Paolo Mariani—after which they’re hoping to have a clear timetable for his return.

The news obviously rules the veteran out for Sunday’s league fixture against Roma and possibly the rest of the season.
