Udinese director and former Roma player Federico Balzaretti was asked to share his opinion on Daniele De Rossi’s managerial appointment at Roma.
In the pre-match interview with DAZN prior to kick-off to Udinese-Milan, Balzaretti expressed his happiness at De Rossi’s return to his boyhood club. The two shared the dressing room with Roma and the national team in the early 2010s.
“I love him with all my heart and I’m very happy,” said Balzaretti. “We’re very close, we’ve known each other for twenty years.”
“As soon as I heard about his decision to become Roma’s next coach, I wrote to him and wished him all the best.”
