Udinese’s Marco Silvestri reveals Roma were interested in him

Udinese goal-keeper Marco Silvestri revealed that Roma had shown interest in him.

In an interview with Rai Play, the Italian shot-stopper claimed the Giallorossi had approached him in the past to be the back-up to Rui Patricio.

“It’s true, Roma were interested in me but things didn’t go through. Rui Patricio is an experienced and quality goalkeeper,” he said.

“It would be difficult to say no to Roma,” Silvestri added. “It’s a historic club that has always fascinated me. Obviously I don’t make the decisions, I’m Udinese’s goalkeeper and I’m happy.”
