A day after an emphatic 4-0 win over Roma, Udinese sporting director Pierpaolo Marino was still ecstatic about his side’s performance against Jose Mourinho’s men.
Marino took a slight dig at Mourinho in his interview with TMW Radio, “Everybody knows who Mourinho is and what he does,” he said in response to a question regarding the Special One’s comments on last night’s refereeing.
“He’s very good at diverting the attention and moving the pressure away from his team in difficult moments when the team is more prone to receive criticism.”
“Some of his comments regarding our ball boys at the stadium…” Marino continued. “You just don’t say those things when you lose 4-0.”
“Here at Udine such things don’t happen: there is a different mentality when it comes to this sport.”
“It’s not everyday that you beat Roma 4-0,” he concluded.
