Roma are reportedly set to be handed a new fine from UEFA for their failure to meet all Financial Fair Play conditions in this last term’s balance sheets.

According to Calcio Finanza, in particular, the new sanction concerns the sale of Roger Ibanez to Saudi Arabia.

In fact, Roma are said to have decided to finalize the sale of the Brazilian centreback after July 1, and not on June 30, 2023, in order to record the capital gain in the balance sheet that will close on June 30, 2024.

By doing so, Roma automatically agreed to receive a new UEFA sanction. The fine should amount to around €2.1 million.
