Aston Villa manager Unai Emery praised Roma boss Jose Mourinho in a recent interview discussing the various teams competing for this year’s Europa League – a competition Emery is very familiar with since his earlier years at Sevilla and more recently with Villareal.
“This year the quality of the Europa League is very high, it’s like a mini Champions League,” Emery remarked while talking to La Gazzetta dello Sport. “I mean, look at the teams this year: Juventus, Manchester United, Barcelona, Arsenal, Sevilla, Ajax…”
“I honestly think Juventus can win it this year. They have the quality to do it and plenty of motivation.”
“Mourinho? Jose is truly unique. Champions League, Europa League, Conference League. He always wins, no matter where he goes.”
