Aston Villa boss Unai Emery shared his thoughts on this year’s Europa League semifinals given his past success in the competition.
“Juventus-Sevilla is like a big final,” Emery – who won the EL with the Spanish side three times – told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“And I say this with the utmost respect for both teams in Jose Mourinho’s Roma and Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen.”
“I’m convinced that whoever wins between Juventus and Sevilla will be the favorite to win the final later this month.”
The Giallorossi face-off against the Germans later tonight in the Italian capital before the return leg next week.
