Ünder-Leicester City transfer formula changed: now loan with option to buy

After three seasons, Cengiz Ünder is ready to waive goodbye to the Italian capital and officially complete his move to Premier League side Leicester City.

The Turkish attacker underwent his medical this morning in Rome at Villa Stuart hospital ahead of his switch to Brendan Rodgers’ team.

The transfer deal is nearing its successful conclusion, however, the formula of the operation has changed. Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the deal will now be a loan for €3 million with an option to buy for €24 million.

Initial reports stated that Ünder would join the Foxes on loan with an obligation to buy from the Giallorossi for the same amount: €27 million total.
