Ünder to return, Dzeko pushing to make it versus Samp

After being given a day off yesterday, Paulo Fonseca’s men resumed training today at Trigoria. The Giallorossi began preparations for the clash against Sampdoria, who sacked managed Eusebio Di Francesco yesterday, and did so without national team players. For the match against the Genova-based side, Fonseca will welcome back Cengiz Ünder, who has been out due to injury for the past month. The Turkish attacker was limited but will return to full training with the group in the coming days.

Mert Çetin and Diego Perotti are also both close to recovering and could be called-up for next weekend’s affair. There is mystery, though, surrounding Edin Dzeko. The Bosnian underwent surgery to his fractures cheek bones two days ago and has been resting ever since. It’s possible he could try and make it for the match against the Blucerchiati thanks to the help of a protective mask, reports Il Tempo.
