Roma’s search for a Leonardo Spinazzola replacement continues on, though, they may be forced to cross another name off of their list.
Since the Italian international is expected to return midseason, the capital club’s preference would be acquiring a replacement on loan versus a more costly permanent deal. Several candidates have been considered by the capital club including Inter’s Federico Dimarco, Bayer Leverkusen’s Wendell, and Manchester United’s Alex Telles.
Nerazzurri manager Simone Inzaghi has already declared that he is counting on Dimarco for the upcoming season, shutting down exit talks.
Today, meanwhile, Manchester United have informed all interested parties that they will not allow Alex Telles to depart the club this summer on loan.
Sky Sport reports that despite strong interest from Roma, the Red Devils have no intention of accepting loan offers for the ex-Inter man.
The Portuguese defender may leave the Premier League giants this summer, but the club insists this can only happen on a permanent transfer.
