Valencia announce Florenzi has contracted chickenpox

Alessandro Florenzi’s time in Spain has started in a less than ideal manner. Today, nearly a week after Florenzi saw red in his side’s loss to Getafe, Valencia announced that the fullback has contract chickenpox.

It remains to be seen how long the illness will keep the 28 year-old out, however, he will more than likely miss next week’s Champions League clash against Atalanta.

Florenzi joined the Spaniards two weeks ago on a dry loan until June and has made three appearances for his new side.
