Valencia join race for Gonzalo Villar

Gonzalo Villar is among the main suspects likely to depart the capital club in the January transfer window.

Beside the recent whispers of an interest from Celta Vigo, the midfielder is drawing attention from Valencia according to Italian journalist Nicolo Schira.

The Spanish side, led by former Getafe manager José Bordalás, have expressed interest in signing Villar on loan until the end of the season.

It remains to be seen whether Roma decide to monetize from Villar’s sale or whether they will opt for a loan at the moment.
