RomaPress – Roma midfielder Amadou Diawara could be on the move during the final two weeks of the January transfer market.

The midfielder has played sparingly this season under new manager Jose Mourinho and could leave the Italian capital before the end of the month. Although he’s currently occupied with national team duty with Guinea, Diawara is at the center of transfer talks between Roma and Valencia.

The Spaniards recently opened discussions with the Giallorossi regarding a potential loan move for the ex-Bologna man, who’s appeared in only eight total matches this season.

Two members of Diawara’s entourage confirmed to RomaPress late today that Valencia want to acquire him this month. However, they reiterated that any deal remains entirely contingent upon the La Liga giants offloading Danish international Daniel Wass to Atletico Madrid.

Discussions between the clubs remain fluid, but Roma are pushing to have an option to make the deal permanent inserted into the deal.
