Veretout out until early April, Dzeko and Ibañez still training individually

Roma midfielder Jordan Veretout underwent scans earlier today at Villa Stuart on his injured right thigh.

The Frenchman hobbled off injured in the 60th minute against Fiorentina on Wednesday. He had difficulties applying pressure and walking on his leg after the match, which left many fearing the worst.

Today’s tests revealed a strain in Veretout’s right thigh flexor. The injury will keep him out between 4-6 weeks, however, Sky Sport reports that Roma are hoping he returns by 3 April.

Meanwhile, striker Edin Dzeko and central defender Roger Ibañez were limited in training. The pair have been training individually for the previous ten days and won’t be called-up for the match against Genoa.

The Brazilian’s representatives were confident that he would be ready for last Sunday’s match against Milan. However, he suffered a setback one week ago, which delayed his return.
