Hellas Verona manager Marco Zaffaroni was forced to walk out of the Stadio Olimpico with zero points after Ola Solbakken’s goal in the first half proved enough to seal the Giallorossi’s win earlier tonight.
“We were playing against a strong team, especially at home,” Zaffaroni reacted in his post-match interview with DAZN.
“It’s difficult to score against them, but we kept our composure on the pitch and dominated most duels. We conceded the goal at the end of the first half, then we tried to recover but lacked the necessary bite in front of goal.”
“We have to consider the strength of this opponent. It is difficult to score against them once they have taken the lead. We need to improve but we put in an excellent performance.”
