Hellas Verona defender Pawel Dawidowicz cited his team’s unity after their 2-1 victory over Roma at the Stadio Bentegodi.
After barely evading relegation last season, the Gialloblu have won their first two games of the campaign while the capital club remain winless.
“In these first two games, you can tell there’s unity and a team,” he told DAZN.
“We didn’t give them much even though they had attackers running constantly into our area. There was a lot of extra time and it seemed like the referee didn’t want to let this game end.”
Finally, “But these are the kinds of games that really help a team grow.”
