Hellas Verona president Maurizio Setti spoke about Roma’s concrete interest in 24-year-old centre-back Nicolò Casale who shined this past season under Igor Tudor.
“Nicolò is followed by many clubs. Lazio had already shown interest in January for a player of great perspective,” Setti told Radiosei.
“There’s certainly a possibility that Nicolò may go to Rome, but both teams have to move before the start of pre-season.”
When asked whether there could be a “derby” for the player between Roma and Lazio, Setti replied, “Yes, it’s a possibility.”
“We’ll see in the next few days but we’re confident that Casale can do well in more prestigious clubs of ours.”
