Verona boss Salvatore Bocchetti – who recently signed his first long-term managerial contract with Hellas after slotting in as interim following Gabriele Cioffi’s exit – previewed Monday night’s fixture with Roma at the Bentegodi.
“Roma are a very strong team, with great players. They have their own style of play, they make good use of the characteristics of the attackers and the wingers at their disposal,” he told reporters on Saturday.
“They had some difficulties at the beginning of the season scoring-wise, but I expect to face a strong team. Mourinho is a great coach, a legend that anyone who starts training like me can only admire and learn from.”
“We will have to pay attention to their best players, who can solve the match at any moment. I remember Pellegrini’s heel strike from last season,” Bocchetti said, referring to Lorenzo Pellegrini’s goal in last season’s 3-2 loss.
