Napoli attacker Victor Osimhen had words of high praise for Roma centreback Chris Smalling whom he battled with on several occasions.
In an interview on TV Play with Mario Balotelli and Emiliano Viviano for Twitch, Osimhen recounted some of the highlights during his time in Italy.
“The most beautiful goal I scored was the one against Roma at the Olimpico. People can’t comprehend how difficult it was.”
When asked about the hardest defenders he’s faced, Osimhen replied “Romero [from Tottenham, ex-Atalanta] is a really good defender. I had some difficult moments dealing with him. The other defender is Smalling – one of the strongest I’ve come across.”
