Gonzalo Villar, currently out-of-favor at Trigoria and with one foot outside the capital, is not going to Sampdoria.
Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport reported that Villar recently rejected an approach from Sampdoria.
Roberto D’Aversa’s club had expressed interest in the Spanish midfielder and considered him a valid alternative to Adrien Silva – who recently terminated his contract with the blucerchiati.
However, Villar is reportedly not keen on the destination and will await other offers.
In the meantime, Sampdoria veered toward Torino’s Rincon, who is now the likeliest candidate for Samp’s midfield.
