Villarreal’s Senna: “We didn’t want to draw Roma.”

Former player and current Villarreal director Marcos Senna, spoke to Sky Sport today regarding his team’s drawing of Roma in the Europa League:

“The first player that comes to mind from Roma? Totti, obviously, he is a huge legend of Roma, he is a historic player. Villarreal have done well in recent years but we are not in our best moment right now but we will try to make history in this competition. We did not want to draw Roma but football is like that. The Giallorossi are a great team in Italian football. Villarreal has a good tradition with the Italian clubs, we hope to continue like this. Pato? He started very well, but he is not playing now a lot but we have confidence in him and he will help the team.”
