Former Roma player Vincent Candela – member of the Scudetto-winning squad of 2001 – was asked about Roma’s chances in the upcoming Europa League final.
In a recent event organized by Lega Serie A, Candela discussed the highly anticipated final in Budapest.
“Roma, if they play like Roma play at their best, could have their say,” said the former Giallorossi fullback.
“Sevilla are not inferior and are the supreme leaders of the Europa League, but Roma have many qualities, starting with Mourinho who hardly fails in the finals.”
“I see Roma as favorites. Last year I was in Tirana, this year I will be in Budapest but not for superstition. I don’t believe in luck, I’m just going to support Roma.”
