On their official website, Roma released the following statement:
“Roma can confirm that Vincenzo Vergine’s contract with the club has been mutually terminated.
Vergine had been in charge of the Giallorossi’s youth setup since June 2021.

I wish him all the best for the next endeavour in his career.”
“I’d like to thank the Friedkin family and director Tiago Pinto for the opportunity given to me over these seasons,” commented Vergine. “I consider it a privilege to have been part of the Giallorossi family and to have been able to offer my contribution to a youth setup which boasts a glorious history. AS Roma and all the people who stood by me during my time here will always have a place in my heart.”
