Viola boss Vincenzo Italiano eyes “final push” ahead of Monday’s Roma clash

Fiorentina boss Vincenzo Italiano claims his side are aiming to win their final three league matches—including Monday’s home fixture versus Roma.

La Viola are currently outside a European place, sitting seventh in Serie A with 56 points, three points behind fifth-placed Roma.

“We have to stay united during this tough stretch, but we’re playing at the Franchi on Monday and our supporters have always made a difference,” he told Fiorentina Weekly.

“We’ve got to give one last final push in these last few games and get as many points as we can. Despite our missteps and dropped points we’re still in this fight for Europe.”

“The way we approach each game is simple: play to win. This is how we always play regardless of the opponent.”

Finally, “Can we draw inspiration from Real Madrid’s comeback from yesterday? We can do great things when everyone’s together. If we keep working as one then we can do it.”
