Vitesse boss Thomas Letsch commented on his team’s upcoming Conference League Round of 16 tie against Roma.
The Dutch side host the Giallorossi on Thursday evening in the Netherlands for the first leg of their double fixture—with the second leg being played in Roma the following week.
“For a club like Vitesse it’s terrific to be playing in the Conference League Round of 16,” he told Fiorentina.it.
“It’s the first time in the club’s history the team has advanced to the last sixteen in a European competition. Roma are a great club, they play in one of the best leagues in the world and they have José Mourinho, one of the most successful managers ever.”
“We’re well aware that we’re underdogs before the games even start, but we’re confident in our strength. We’ll do our best to repeat what we did against Spurs, Anderlecht, and Rapid Vienna.”
Adding, “Everything is always possible in a two-legged tie.”
