Vitesse coach Thomas Letsch has no regrets after defeat at Stadio Olimpico

Thomas Letsch of Vitesse

Thomas Letsch and his Vitesse side fought bravely until the very end just to see themselves eliminated from the Conference League in the final minutes of Roma-Vitesse at the Stadio Olimpico.

The German technician was asked to give some post-match comments about the morale of the team following Abraham’s last minute goal.

“I have absolutely no complaints and regrets tonight,” he said.

“Nobody was convinced that we could advance to the next stage. Sure, it’s painful to be eliminated like this but I can’t blame my team for anything tonight.”

Letsch added, “We deserved more, but that’s football. Tonight we conceded very little to Roma.”
