Walter Sabatini discusses Roma’s strengths under Mourinho

Andy Mattioli

Former Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini analyzed the Giallorossi’s strengths under Jose Mourinho in a recent interview.

“Today’s Roma is a scientific team that knows how and when to hit the opponent, who have won and will still win many games this year,” he said while talking to New Sound Level fm90. “It’s a team that Mourinho is managing really scientifically, he hasn’t put a foot wrong.”

“Look at the technical meeting that Mourinho held with the team under the Curva Sud in the match against Feyenoord. That’s real magic, because by doing so he motivated the entire stadium and his team, sent them back onto the field for extra time with the needed mentality to obtain an extraordinary result.”

“A very talented player like Dybala must be protected, nursed and accompanied, no one knows how to do it better than Mourinho.”

“It is obvious that Dybala’s performances are also linked to the prodigious leadership of Mourinho who knows how to best manage a talented player given that he has coached so many in his career.”
