Walter Sabatini discusses the legacies of Spalletti and Zaniolo at Roma

Former Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini discussed the legacies of ex-Giallorossi manager Luciano Spalletti and the recently departed Nicolo Zaniolo.

“I’m very happy for my friend Luciano,” Sabatini told Radio Marte. “I think if he’s entitled to complain about something in his career it’s his time at Roma.”

“Roma owes him a little. They could have called him back in 2021 and didn’t, but this is just my opinion. Today Spalletti has reached perfection with Napoli and for this reason he doesn’t even have to say a word, the facts speak for him.”

“Zaniolo? There always seemed to be some kind of unresolved conflict. The supporters are angry with him, but he is not guilty of anything in particular. If he doesn’t want to go to Bournemouth, that’s understandable.”
