Former Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini – currently in search of a suitable project following his exit from Salernitana – was asked to comment on the Giallorossi and their chances of reaching top four in the upcoming second half of the season.
“Theoretically, Roma lack absolutely nothing to compete for their objectives: they are solid, they know how to control the game, they’ve got quality,” Sabatini told Centro Suono Sport.
“By recovering Dybala and improving their aim in front of goal, they will certainly be able to climb the league table. The Giallorossi control the game and the result until the end. With Dybala back from the World Cup they will make the necessary leap in quality.”
“Roma need to qualify for Champions League. They cannot afford to finish the season seventh or eighth. They must roll up their sleeves and get to work.”
