After becoming central to Roma’s project with Jose Mourinho, Paulo Dybala hopes to once again become a protagonist for his national team and convince Argentina boss Lionel Scaloni to rely on him in the upcoming World Cup tournament.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Walter Samuel’s recent visit to Trigoria also served as an opportunity for Scaloni’s assistant to meet with Dybala.

Samuel reportedly promised Dybala a place in the call-up list for World Cup Qatar 2022 as Argentina’s staff will continue to monitor the 28-year-old’s progress at Roma after a difficult final year with Juventus.

In the meantime, the Italian newspaper informs that Dybala is preparing to move to a new villa in Rome after having spent the past month in a hotel. The player is increasingly satisfied and convinced of his decision to join the Giallorossi as a free agent.
