Watford interested in Steven Nzonzi

Steven Nzonzi continues to stand in the way of Roma’s final days of the transfer window.

The Frenchman refuses to leave the club without receiving a ‘buonuscita’ or finding a team that is willing to cover in full his present salary at Roma: over €3 million.

According to Il Tempo, the French midfielder has rejected numerous offers from abroad and as the window is nearing its final stages, the player faces a near future filled with question marks.

The 32-year-old is currently being eyed by English side Watford.

However, this has been predominantly an explorative enquiry. It remains to be seen whether Nzonzi and Roma will find a solution that would allow them to part ways. Him and Pastore are Tiago Pinto’s main priority for the final days of the summer calciomercato.
