Roma midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum continues to make progress in his recovery from a fractured right tibia.
The Dutchman suffered the injury during a training session in late August just one week after he made his first and only appearance with the club following his arrival from Paris Saint-Germain
He decided against undergoing corrective surgery and opted for a more conservative approach centered around rest and physical therapy.
Initially ruled out for 3-4 months, Wijnaldum hit a milestone in his recovery today after his follow-up consultation with the medical staff at the University of Amsterdam Hospital.
The Dutchman revealed on Instagram that the full leg cast he wore for the previous month was removed and he has started to walk again with the help of crutches.
