Roma midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum is expected to return from his fractured tibia injury sometime within the next 4-6 weeks.
The Dutchman suffered the blow during the final portion of a late August training session which sidelined him for nearly five months.
Now, the ex-Liverpool man has entered the final phase of recovery. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, it will be crucial for the player not to rush into major playing time anytime soon.
That is why, the Italian newspaper reports Mourinho and his staff are thinking of integrating Wijnaldum with Roma’s youth team in the coming weeks.
The idea would be to ease him back on the pitch with a few matches with Federico Guidi’s team before having him join his senior teammates in the second half of the season.
