With Kolarov nearing exit, Roma ready to count on Calafiori

Roma’s Aleksandar Kolarov is closing in on a move to Inter, but Sky Sport reports that the Giallorossi are unlikely to purchase another left back in place of the former Manchester City defender.

Roma and manager Paulo Fonseca are prepared to count on Leonardo Spinazzola and highly rated Primavera prospect Riccardo Calafiori to fulfill the eventual departure of the Serbian.

Calafiori made his senior debut for the Giallorossi late last season against Juventus and impressed in his first bit of action.

The 18 year-old, whose agent is Mino Raiola, has been linked with a potential move to PSG and Juventus over recent months, but the Rome-born prospect is now likely ready to remain in the Italian capital and be handed an important role within the team.
