Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso discussed his side’s qualification to the Europa League semi’s with Roma.
In the aftermath of Leverkusen’s win over West Ham United, Alonso spoke about the team’s performance and briefly previewed the two legs with Roma in an interview with TNT Sports.
“In many games we build our control of possession. We know that sometimes it takes longer but if we continue to do things well and are patient, sooner or later our opportunity will come.”
“This happens in the Bundesliga but also in the Europa League, and it also happened in today’s match. It will be a difficult challenge against Roma, we know it,” said the Spaniard.
