Nicola Zalewski admitted that he was close to joining Galatasaray from Roma earlier in the summer.
The Polish player, who is playing in the Nations League with his national team, gave an interview to TVP Sport in which he spoke about the saga of negotiations with the Turkish club.
“I won’t lie: I was very close to moving to Galatasaray,” Zalewski told the Polish broadcaster.
“There was a great offer on the table, but I thought about it a bit, I spoke to my family and I think I did what was best for me.”
“I’ve been playing recently and I’ve returned to the squad normally and I’m very happy about that. My goal is to play football and have fun.”
