With only two days of rest and training in-between Serie A engagements, Jose Mourinho is looking to implement his first major turnover of the season with several bench players getting a chance to feature from the start in Roma-Monza on Tuesday night.
According to today’s edition of Il Tempo, the Special One is likely to rely on Nicola Zalewski and Zeki Celik who will replace Leonardo Spinazzola and Rick Karsdorp on the wings. Spinazzola and Karsdorp exited the game against Juventus with cramps and fatigue.
Additionally, Stephan El Shaarawy could slot in the attack, allowing Lorenzo Pellegrini to play in the midfield pivot with Bryan Cristante starting from the bench given his recent struggles on Saturday vs Juventus.
Moreover, the Italian newspaper informs that Mourinho will not address the media ahead of the home game with Monza. The Special One will maintain the same rule as last season and not appear in pressers for mid-week league fixtures.
