Zalewski’s lawyer has stepped in to protect his client in light of recent rumors claiming the player was giving out information to the media.
In recent days, rumors have been going around Rome suggesting that Zalewski was the ‘spy’ inside Roma’s dressing room, passing information about Daniele De Rossi’s squad selection to the media on the eve of the latest Serie A matchdays.
Nicola Zalewski’s lawyer, Giovanni Ferro of GP Soccer and Management, released a statement to ANSA, denying these allegations.
“Regarding the rumors spread yesterday, according to which Nicola Zalewski would have revealed information about the formation and the situation in the locker room to alleged press organs or journalists, I declare with absolute firmness and indignation his total non-involvement in these accusations,” said Ferro.
“Nicola has already instructed us to take legal action without delay against anyone who has spread this false news which is seriously damaging to his human and professional image,” concluded the lawyer, rejecting any insinuation.
