Just hours after it was revealed that Roma and midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini reached an agreement for a contract extension, news leaked that another one of the club’s starlets is also closing in on a new deal.
According to Daniele Longo of calciomercato.com, attacker Nicolo Zaniolo will also put pen to paper on a contract renewal in the coming days, committing his long term future to the capital club.
The announcement could arrive soon after Roma held extensive talks in recent weeks with Zaniolo’s agent, Claudio Vigorelli.
Zaniolo has impressed so far this season and has shaken-off any concerns following his return from a second torn anterior cruciate ligament injury, which he sustained thirteen months ago.
His current contract expires in 2024 but the Giallorossi want to leave no doubt surrounding Zaniolo’s importance to their long term project.
